Ever wondered how to get your child into boxing? At Blegend Gym, we’re here to guide you through the world of teen’s boxing. It’s not just about sport; it’s a fun and educational journey that helps build courage, character, and discipline in your little ones.
Why Not Try It at Home?
We strongly advise against trying to train your child in boxing at home without a professional coach. Training on your own can lead to less-than-ideal results and might not provide the necessary development for your child.
Special Considerations for Kids Boxing:
Understanding that a child’s body is different from an adult’s is crucial. Children are not mini-adults, not just physically, but emotionally too. Boxing, like any martial art, demands more than just physical prowess; it requires strong willpower too.
When Kids Can Begin Boxing?
Finding a good coach experienced in working with kids is the first step. Generally, it’s best to start boxing training around the age of 10, but in some cases, younger kids might be allowed to begin under a coach’s guidance.
Before diving in, familiarize your child with the rules of boxing and take them to watch professional boxers in action. This can help you both decide if boxing is the right fit.
Getting Started at Blegend Gym
In the initial stages, we focus on fun physical exercises that develop strength, agility, and sports thinking. Each session starts with a warm-up, including running, jump rope exercises, and body bends to prepare your child for training.
What Your Child Learns
In the first few sessions, your child will get to know the basic rules of boxing and gradually understand the training process. Over 3-4 years, they’ll learn different types of punches, how to move in the ring, combinations, and the technique of boxing.
At Blegend Gym, we prioritize physical performance, especially strength and reaction time in the first year. As your child progresses, they’ll be taught to throw punches, work on them, and learn the art of fighting.
Emphasis on General Physical Training For Kids:
We give special attention to overall physical training, working on developing strong muscles, improving posture, and enhancing quick reaction, agility, speed, coordination, and endurance. Our coaches also focus on instilling moral and volitional qualities, emphasizing discipline and teamwork.
Age-Appropriate Training:
Before the age of 10, kids learn the basics in a playful and competitive environment. Full-fledged martial arts techniques are introduced in youth groups for children aged 11 and above. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t enroll your child earlier; those who start in children’s groups are better prepared for the challenges ahead.
At Blegend Gym, we believe in making children’s boxing a thrilling and enriching experience. Our expert coaches ensure your child not only learns the physical aspects of the sport but also grows in character and discipline. Start your child’s boxing journey with us for a fun and rewarding adventure!
